Jim Keaton

Jim Keaton is based in Sarasota in the US. Jim has a Major in Fine Arts and a Minor in Graphic Design, he was influenced in part by Iakov Chernikhov, Victor Vasarely and Yaacov Agam. Their works, based on geometry, played a great part in his understanding balance and its relationship to design and communication. Many of the Series are also influenced by Mid-Century Contemporary Design, International Contemporary Design and the Sarasota School of Architecture. The art is created in black and white and integrated with multiple shapes, colors and transparencies. We refer to these pieces of art as "erector set" style, with sharp lines and smooth gradations.
